conflicts with the census data..
Individual note: had a Pasmentery Company originally called the Tisch Machine
and Tool Works, Inc. which was later named Tisch Engineering
Co. where they invented the knitting machine. James J. Norris
Jr. added that the invention was the double knitting machine
and was important for making parachutes. The rights to the
machine were unfortunately sold after World War II in
anticipation that the need for double knit fabric would decline
sharply.
