Her ancestral file submission says: Born 6 Feb 1805,
Shelby Co, KY Married September 1838, Shelby Co, Kentucky
to Nicholas Yount Died 20 Jun 1898, Hendricks Co, IN
Contradiction in birth date and marriage location. She
researches Thorp line down to present, so believe family name
is truely Thorp.

Note for:   Bessie Jane Woollen,   ABT 1893 -          Index
Individual note:   1910 Census Roll $ , Ed 8, Sheet , Line Indiana,
Blackford Co, Licking Township White Female, Age 17,
Single Born in Indiana Father Born Indiana, Mother
born Indiana Grandaughter of David Woolen
Know she is not the daughter of Emma Jane Woolen, Assuming she
is daughter of only other known offsping, (Robert) Edward J
Woolen. Grandmother had 4 children, though
'We Woollen' by Keith C. Woollen lists Bessie D. Woollen as a
daughter of David Woollen and Maleta Yount. Very strange.
Family rumors she may have been illegitemate.

Kathy (Knecht) Lehker interview 1/14/95: Bessie was born to
poor single woman and given to the poor farm Blackford County
(?). The Woollens adopted her into the family.
