1934-D VAM-9Micro D set low I-2 R-5 This is a VAM I discovered that was assigned VAM-9 by Leroy Van Allen on 8 May 2001. The micro D is set extremely low to the point that Leroy said he had not seen one this low before.
1934D VAM-3 Double Die Obverse, Medium D
Note the complete separation on the ray doubling. The nostril, lips and chin are also doubled. The inside top of the D in GOD is also strongly doubled. For VAM-3, the mint mark is a medium sized D:
The doubled obverse is also found with a micro D (VAM-4). This combination is much less common. Please e-mail me if you have one available!
1934-D VAM-5VAM-5 has a micro D set high with no obverse doubling:
VAM-6 has a Micro D high and tilted right (Sorry no picture)
